To answer this question one must first inspect the home for visible signs of water intrusion. Then a distinction must be made between functional damge vs. maintenance. In many cases, roof damge is mistaken due to granule loss or algae/mold build-up. As such, in certain cases, we may simply recommend maintenance and appropriate pressure roof cleaning to remove and retard contaminents. Although you must check with your insurance carrier most insurance companies have time limits to process claims. However, one of the most important things to understand is your obligation to prevent further damage from occurring. Therefore, we first urge you to take safe steps in preventing further damage. Please note, an RCAL representative may be able to assist you with this process. Report your claim promptly, and keep track of expenditures. Maintain communications with your agent and/or adjuster as well as your RCAL contractor representative.
RCAL representatives first inspect your home to determine the extent of restoration and types of materials to be used. Thereafter, a detailed line by line estimate is prepared for your acceptance. Unlike most other contractors RCAL does not indulge in the use of lump sum pricing. This process is benficial to our clients who really want to know what they are paying for. When assigned to work directly with your insurance carrier, RCAL proceeds based upon your insurance adjuster's findings and insurance scope of loss. In these cases clients are only responsible for their respective insurance deductible.
Yes! Evidence of such should be provided to you upon request prior to the commencement of any work. Additionally, RCAL works on your behalf to ensure appropriate permits are gained prior to working on your property. This step further insures the integrity of the work process.
In certain cases RCAL may require a deposit prior to work initiation. Such deposit is used for the purchase of materials. You then make payment to RCAL per the agreement and close-out process. It is RCAL's goal to satisfactorily complete assigned projects in an effort to support and help raise awareness for the Wounded Warrior Project. Please visit http://www.woundedwarriorproject.org/ to learn more.
Upon receipt of final payment of agreed upon services, RCAL will provide a "Lien Waiver" executed by a senior officer of the company. In extended work circumstances, RCAL may provide "Conditional Lien Waivers". Such as in the case in major remodeling events.
